The Bamboo Steamers The Bamboo Steamers describe their sound by saying "It is what it is; a little of this 'n' that; if you close your eyes and squeeze them until stars appear, we sometimes sound like whoever you like...but most of the time we sound like the Bamboo Steamers." Born out of the head of frontman Mike Gordon, The Magnus Effect is a wild journey inside of the mind of America's weirdest man. The Weisstronauts Tonight we've got a night of top notch not-your-typical instrumental music! The Weisstronauts are an instrumental rock combo from Boston, with influences ranging from spaghetti western & spy movie soundtracks to space rock, surf, and twang. Over the past decade they've played all over the US, supporting six indie-label CDs. Although they are usually a 5-piece band, they will be joined by several adjunct members for a special and very rare 8-piece lineup. The Invisible Rays are a company of musicians dedicated to communicating complex and antediluvian emotions from cinematic, rhapsodic, and rhythmic music without the crutch of a singer. No language -- just the intervals, spaces and rhythms.
